haha...vi.   do yourself a favor and get a text editor.   I use "nano". 
You can get it from the piCore repository by running the command "tce" 
hopefully there is enough disk space to add extensions.

Just edit the file in place.   You dont need to mount anything.   After
editing, run the command "filetool.sh -b"   This will backup the file
and make it stick.
