I just installed the new version of PiCorePlayer (1.13) to test if the
assumed limitation to 48khz. Unfortunately, the behavior prevails: Any
content from 48khz sample rate and above is played at 48 khz on my Denon
receiver.

This is what my /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params looks like when
playing FLAC with 96khz/24bit

Code:
--------------------
    access: MMAP_INTERLEAVED
  format: S16_LE
  subformat: STD
  channels: 2
  rate: 48000 (48000/1)
  period_size: 480
  buffer_size: 1920
--------------------

In regard to configuration, I can say that my system is pretty much
vanilla. All I did was to change from 3.5mm jack to HDMI out.

Do you guys have any idea how to change the setup in order to play at
the original sample rate? Fun fact: I tried legacy version 1.0 and
apparently, the wav files played at 96khz and 192khz respectively.
However, I had no idea how to switch to HDMI output (no option in setup
menu).

Thanks a lot for your help! I'm almost ready to sell my Squeezebox Duet.
A share of this revenue is going to be donated to Steen for his
excellent work!
