These words are going to come back to haunt me, I'm sure.
I think we might be at the stage now where the CS LMS 7.8.1 builds are
usable and we're back full-circle to where we started from with 7.8.0,
with DSD functionality working and plugins loading. Couple of
volunteers, please.... No wimpering if you encounter issues. (I know
Michael said in a message above, to post to the 7.8.1 BETA thread, but
I'd rather we didn't do that for the moment. Post here, let me
reproduce, and if necessary I'll upstream problem reports. The reason
for this, is that the CS builds deliberately delete all the Logi binary
stuff and build everything from scratch. So problems could be down to me
or upstream. I'd rather eliminate me from the equation before wasting
Michael's time.)
Code:
--------------------
sudo csos-cleanUpdate-testing logitechmediaserver\*
--------------------
I've tested DSD->PCM, disabling native dsd support in squeezelite, so
dsdplay is decoding on the back-end, which means it should just work
with "real" hardware players, (Touch, SB3 or whatever), as the client.
And native decode to PCM via squeezelite. Can't believe that we'd have
an issue with DoP now, but I have not explicitly tested it.
The plugins I am using, Triode spotify, shairport plugin and brutefirDrc
appear to we working. Triode's spotify plugin is working on all 3
platforms (i686/x86_64/arm), that I can say for sure, and the other
plugins are loading now. (Weren't earlier.)
(PS. I'm still aware of one issue on x86_64, but no-one in this thread
is running anything other than arm, right? ;) Rhetorical question, no
need to answer....)
