hi sbp, I've been using your piCorePlayer for a couple of weeks and it is a perfect fit for me (DIY audio). I have been very impressed considering I am using a very cheap USB DAC (using SPDIF out) that I bought only to experiment with. Surprisingly this basic and cheap piece of hardware produces quality audio up there with the Touch and Transporter IMHO.
I believe the Raspberry Pi is the right hardware platform to pursue because of the number of units sold and the enormous community support. When a new Pi is released in a year or two (a guess) there will be an extremely cheap source of hardware. Alos, because of the current success of the Raspberry Pi the future is guaranteed at least for next 5 years or so. I am using RasPi / SqueezePlug for an LMS server which I am also very happy with. BTW: I pressed the Donate button and it works! regards and thanks Greg ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Greg Erskine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
