Hi Koos, Upsampling is just a matter of taste. Most modern DACs are upsampling to 24/192 or even higehr inside anyway, so upsampling on Pi to 24/192 is causing high load on PI and sending unnecessary huge amount of data from Pi to a DAC. You can easily upsample on the LMS server using sox. More details here : http://soundcheck-audio.blogspot.de/2011/04/tt-resampling.html I tried many upsampling options on the server side, or in the player, but IMHO for my ears the sonic result was always worse than original and i heave well configured good sounding system : waveio-i2s-Buffalo II- tube pre-tube power-spendor SP 2/3. The best is to make your own experience, if it sounds better for you, than no problem :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ praganj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41091 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
