Hi Koos,

Upsampling is just a matter of taste. Most modern DACs are upsampling to
24/192 or even higehr inside anyway, so upsampling on Pi to 24/192 is
causing high load on PI and sending unnecessary huge amount of data from
Pi to  a DAC.

You can easily upsample on the LMS server using sox. More details here

I tried many upsampling options on the server side, or in the player,
but IMHO for my ears the sonic result was always worse than original and
i heave well configured  good sounding system : waveio-i2s-Buffalo II-
tube pre-tube power-spendor SP 2/3.

The best is to make your own experience, if it sounds better for you,
than no problem :)
