I tend to think explaining the VB directory structure to someone who has not seen it is making it more complex than it needs to be... What about just /storage and making it available as read/write by default. We can then add to the text on the storage page saying anything mounted as /storage will be accessible by samba. /Storage comes from the config file, so perhaps add an entry to that like: SAMBA_DIR=/storage, to show in the web gui (not proposing to allow this to be editable at present) Also while I think about it - I would like to discuss dropping the FAQ from the web gui as I think it is a little stale and also is probably better hosted on a web site rather than as part of a configuration interface which we want to maintain. (Don't want to question the value of it, just that it looks a little out of place in a web configuration interface) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
