Hmmm .... Strange events to report.
About a year ago I got BT working with F18 for both a Boombox AND a Soundwave 100 speaker. Recently I fired up the F18 Cubie and discovered that while the Boombox worked, the SW100 failed to connect. After many attempts to get it working again, I gave up and switched to using the Boombox. Now, the SW100 is the device I've been trying to get working with F20 - the misery of which is outlined in this thread. The main feature being the connect-disconnect loop. This morning, having risen at some unGodly hour, I decided to give the F18 and SW100 setup another whirl. And, there it was - connected! But seconds later, disconnected ... and entered the familiar loop. Grrrr. Then, after one connect attempt was accompanied by a string of error messages from squeezelite, I decided to change the dummy squeezelite mac address ... and, it connected, playing Radio 5 Live!!! Then, I noticed the signal was very weak and kept dropping out. So the SW100 is now on a full battery charge. I'm hoping that the connect - disconnect phenomenon might just be caused by a weak BT signal ? So, later today I'll rerun using the F20 bluetoothctl routine - fingers crossed! More later.
