OK, for squeezelite DoP output, you need to give squeezelite the '-D' flag, which hopefully Steen can help with how you get that set in pico. Also, make sure you have the volume set at 100% for the squeezelite client in LMS. Note to Steen. I would suggest you build the latest squeezelite from git to make the '-e' exclude codec flag available. I'm not sure how well the Pi is going to play nicely with DSD. It should handle the decimation stage of the DSD->PCM conversion resulting in 352k8 PCM for DSD64, but then the second stage requires resampling it to something <= the max sample rate that the client is able to support. I've not tried this myself on the Pi, but other experiences suggest the Pi might not have the CPU cycles for this. By setting '-e dsd' on the squeezelite command line, (which you could perhaps consider setting as a global default on your distro), you switch off squeezelite telling the server that it can natively deal with DSD and shunt the processing, (either DSD->DoP or DSD->PCM) to dsdplay on the backend. (Which is what is working for his iPeng.) It is possible with an older version of squeezelite for you to use the '-c' codec flag to list every other codec, except dsd, that you wish squeezelite to support natively, but not as easy as just excluding sds via the '-e' flag. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
