CSOS is something special. The easy to use Web Interface belies the engine which purrs beneath the surface. A Rolls-Royce engine that's fine tuned to the hardware (Wandboard, Cubietruck, BBB?). Where else will you find kernels patched to deal with the hardware quirks and so optimise the performance of your Arm board? Let, alone the fully optimised base packages. Where else will you find a BBB doing upsampling at 384K, a Cubietruck SPDIF not limited to 16bit, etc. etc. etc. ? None of this grows on trees. It takes skill, knowledge, dedication and persistence to develop. I'm as guilty as the next person of taking the software I use on a daily basis for granted. Never giving a second to thought to the human endeavour that's brought it into existence. Like the old saying, you never miss it until it's gone. And now sadly JackOfAll has played the last post ... That's made me fell very gloomy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Krisbee's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59080 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
