Yes, indeed it is friendly way of image creation. Tried it on WB Quad.
Some observations:

-Player section functions very,very well, tested with external USB xmos
Spdif converter, up to 192khz.
-Storage mounting from web interface is not working, I didn't edit fstab
manually...
-Host name from web interface System page is not editable.
