My LMS server is a Windows Home Server V1 box. It sits in my study miles
from any hifi gear, and does multiple other jobs as well as running LMS.
I wouldn't want a server anywhere near a player anyway as I can't abide
the sound of hard discs spinning when listening to music. All I need
from a player is an ethernet to spdif device with no fan or moving
parts, hence my use of the Receiver.
