Hi I am running SqueezeLite as a service on my OpenElec (Linux) XBMC PC. To start SqueezeLite I added the command below in to my autostart.sh file.
/storage/.xbmc/userdata/squeezelite/squeezelite-x86-64 -o hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=1 -m 00:00:00:00:00:fe -r 384000 This works great for playing albums from LMS to the XBMC PC etc. I am looking at using Google Text To Speech with my HomeAutomation system (Vera) and with the SqueezeLite Squeezeboxes. If I send this URL to SqueezeLite on the Linux (OpenElec) PC http://translate.google.com/translate_tts?tl=en&q=Hello+World I hear nothing and can see this message in terminal alsa_open:303 unable to get period size: Invalid argument If I send the same Google TTS URL to another SqueezeLite instance running on a Windows PC it works fine and I hear the voice say "Hello World". How can I get this working on the Linux PC? Many thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cw-kid's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=50737 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
