Sorry, forgot to mention the browser. Yes Chrome fully up to date, on Windows 8.1. I did not see a line of text. You may be right re lack of display until a no. of lines added to the log. Another poss problem: as the text flowed in the text box, a couple of times I got an error warning "this window is not responding". Closing the page and re opening got things moving again.
