I'm not Steen, but as someone who knows a little about DSD support and
not wanting you to pull your hair out.....

Do yourself a favour..... Do it on the back-end, not on the Pi. If you
have LMS 7.9 on a server, install Triode's PlayDSD plugin and either
transcode to PCM or DoP on the server and pass-through squeezelite.
(Even if there is a squeezelite with native DSD support for pico, I'd be
starting it with '-e dsd' to exclude native DSD support being registered
with the server as a supported codec, and transcoding on the backend.
The Pi isn't really up to the task, either repacking DSD64 as DOP into a
176k4 PCM stream, or transcoding it to PCM via built-in dsd2pcm and sox
resample.)
