Do the following (I use ubuntu but I it's based on debian so I think it
uses the same commands).

When I get problems like this, googling the text often provides an
answer quite quickly. In this case I googled
"lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 version" and got the answer on 'ask
ubuntu'.
I suspect you have not have a full set of updates on debian. I suggest
you update it. Not being a debian user I'm not sure of the commands,
but there should be an 'update manager' or similar in the debian system
settings.
LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi running Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit,

Wireless Xubuntu 14.04 laptop controls LMS via Chromium. Meridian
Explorer USB DAC to listen via Squeezelite on Vortexbox & other PCs as
required. Spare Touch in loft.
