Hi all. Thanks for the replies. It was a bit of a muck around I had with the 3.5mm audio out. I tried 1.16 and that didn't work so I start checking things. About 3 feet down the cable I found chew marks, something chewed the cable. It's been a while since I've used this cable and it is behind a cabinet. Replaced the cable and it works, nice. Loaded 1.17 back on, configure and no luck again.... So back to 1.16. Then my two new Rasberry Pi B+ arrive in the mail so I try 1.17 on them and not a problem, works a treat. So after a bit more playing around I figure out that even though I select the 3.5m outlet it won't output through it while the HDMI is plugged in on my original Pi B but works fine on the B+.
