Forget "optimal reliabitiy", if you go for an ARM board. The only board
I'm aware of with real good support and life cycle management is the
RPI.
For other boards you can expect a year max of community support I'd
guess.

I wouldn't take Triodes pretty vague statement as a base for a
decision.

The CT runs stable. The current kernel (and that's the key) is stable
for our purposes (server/client). If Triode runs much older
firmware/kernel and a specific OS setup that's another topic. That's why
I left SOA alone.
I'm not saying that Hummingboard,Udoo,Odroid,Wand etc. are much worse
then a CT. If you rely on Triode and he confirms that a board
is 100% operational - go for it.
But. You should also have a look at Volumio and Rune Audio, just to
figure out what boards these guys are supporting. At least you'd have an
alternative
to SOA for your chosen board - just in case.

Unfortunately Triode has IMO chosen the wrong OS for SOA anyhow.
I gave up on Arch as a server/client OS on ARM after not even two
months using it.
You can see how much time Triode has to spent on SOA to get things
going. He needs to write all kind of installation scripts himself.
On Debian I just run an "apt-get install" on pretty much all apps and
that includes LMS.
Beside that apps like minidlna, ecasound asf asf are available in
standard DEBIAN repos. Debian on ARM gives you much more flexibility.

Good luck.

Cheers
