@praganj Another hint for being more efficient. Run squeezelite with -b 80000:300000 (=80MB:320MB) or similar. You basically load the whole track 1st into streaming and then into the processing buffer. There won't be any network streaming during playback. Especially on e.g. RPI which combines USB and ethernet in one chip this is much more efficient. You'll see max CPU load during first couple of seconds (<10) of playback and then squeezelite goes down to 0.3% CPU load (on my RPI!) during playback. With the ethernet settings I posted earlier the initial bulk load will be handled much more efficient btw. Stream PCM instead of flacs.
@Owen As I said earlier. IPv6 ON/OFF from SOA settings would IMO be a feasible approach. When it comes to net performance of the networking setup I'd rather would like to have the option to turn it off. Especially if it can be done that easy. ::: ' Touch Toolbox and more' (http://soundcheck-audio.blogspot.com) ::: by soundcheck ------------------------------------------------------------------------ soundcheck's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34383 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101624 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
