Hi. That's been a misunderstanding. The squeeze environment is 2-channel only. And that will probably never change. What I do: I run squeezelite via STDOUT (pipe) into ecasound. Ecasound does the channel routing and the DSP duties (crossover filters, equalizer, channel volume control, timing etc. ) via LADSPA plugins. As multichannel audio interface I use a RME Fireface UCX in USB2.0 ClassCompliant Mode.
