The same at my place - RPi, RPi+ and Wanborad Quad completed succesfully. Volume with usb dac (waveio + BII) on W quad much lower, than with PI/PI+. It sounds to me like the volume is digitally reduced and has lower(12-14 bit ?) resolution ?
