is your windows desktop connected via ethernet back to router? Seems like your general network is OK given that the desktop computer as server makes everything work OK. I'm wondering if it is something as simple as the ethernet connection between the music server and the router. Could be a bad cable, a bad ethernet jack (on computer or on router). I'd first just move the cable from server to router to a different jack on router. If that didn't work, I'd try a new ethernet cable between server and router (even if a temporary cable, assuming the permanent one may be in a wall, etc.). *Home:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.8 > Squeezelite *Spares:* Touch(3), Radio(3), Boom, SB3, CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone4S & iPadAir2 (iPeng8 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpoweramp > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102765
