good to hear that your problems have been solved.

I haven't tried a bbb, so please report your findings.

now you have it working with the correct usb settings by using 20
instead of 10, why don't you try to plug the usb dac directly into the
raspbery again? Maybe it was not a power issue after all.

Also if it is a power supply issue you might be able to solve it using a
better power supply something like 5 v 2A.
