hi blackstripes,

Unfortunately I don't have a rtl8188cus device to test.

I would setup the SD card on the Model B first. Once you have set up
wifi you need to reboot the Raspberry Pi to load the drivers and
firmware.

Can you post dmesg errors? if you don't have any success.
