Steve, I can't strictly help you with the Samba routine (see what I did there) but can't help thinking you are trying to lead a horse to the wrong waterhole. I have SOA on a Cubox and until the last weekend was running my music files on an attached usb drive (I only had a few numpty attempts at setting up before getting the connection). I have now connected the LMS to my music folder on a Qnap nas, still using mnt/disk 1 and everything seems to work fine. I am guessing that as the usb drive is connected to the pi, it is hidden from the rest of the network and might have to be attached to either a PC or router (and maybe mapped in Windows). In fact if you do the latter it should show up as a drive in the LMS settings web gui (I think:confused:) atb Ronnie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101624 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
