Hi I've built a number of Ubuntu based media centre PCs over the last 6 months running Ubuntu 14.04 where I've used Kodi for video playback & Squeezelite for music playback. I use the Startup Applications app to load Squeezelite at start up & I've used the command line switches for Squeezelite to specify the player name & the output device.
Usually the music playback device is not the ALSA default, so I've needed to specify the output device. This has been quite successful until today when I built a new one. If I specify an out put device, Squeezeleite will not load at startup, if I don't specify an output device, it loads just fine. If I copy & paste the command I'm using to load squeezelite, (which specifies the output device), at startup into a terminal window, it loads just fine & can be used to play back music. Can anyone suggest why this might be happening & how to fix it? TIA, Peter ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterhocking's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18995 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
