Hi all,

I recently changed my audio set-up and now have a rpi rev B running
piCorePlayer 1.19k directly connected to the USB power supply of my
Audioengine A5 speakers. The idea being that, when I switch on the
speakers, the Rpi will also be switched on automatically and will start
playing music using the Auto start LMS function of piCorePlayer. In the
changelog of more recent piCorePlayer releases I read that changes to
the boot speed have been applied.

I was just wondering what the typical boot time would be? In my case, it
takes about 2 min 10 sec before I actually hear music. Does it normally
take that long or is there anything I can do to speed up the boot time.
I'm using:

  a class 10 SD card
  no overclocking of the RPI
USB device for audio out (front:CARD=Set,DEV=0)
Static IP address connected via wired network (so no WIFI)
  MAC address filled out
LMS server IP not filled out
All other settings on the squeezelite settings page of piCorePlayer
  are either disabled or empty
  LMS autostart function

Thanks for your response.

Michielo
