It might be that your ALSA mixer output is set too high.

Please try to shh into your piCorePlayer then:
"alsamixer"
reduce the output level to a suitable level
store the new settings: "sudo alsactl store"
backup the changes: "sudo filetool.sh -b"
and finally on the piCorePlayer Tweaks page select "Custom" Alsa output
level.
