Yes, this is the way to do it, same as IR. Read the gpio input from
encoder inside squeezelite, which sends the volume+/- back to LMS and
then it is applied when server sends back to squeezelite and squeezelite
is using option to control volume direct on the alsa interface, and
everything stays in sync.
Are you an end-user, or are you the man behind max2play? The reason I
ask that, is that I have some code I could share, but I had a
conversation before with a user, who told me that he had paid for
max2play software/support..... Are you asking for yourself, or is this a
feature your users are asking for?
