Router that cannot create reservations.....sounds like it would be easier to get a new router that does. We've never implemented static addressing, since it was meant as a player. The easiest way would be to turn off wifi in piCorePlayer, and do it yourself in opt/bootlocal.sh Take a look at this thread.
