Hi,

I need to ask a pretty dumb SMB question - I just need really simple
noob instructions for mounting an SMB share on PCP please.
The background:
I am running PCP3.02 on an RPi2 and loving it, thanks for all the
excellent work you guys are doing!!
Up until recently I was running LMS on a QNAP TS109 and it was working
like a dream, but the NAS died a couple of weeks ago so I'm trying to
work out another way to access my ripped CD files.
I've got a backup of the NAS contents on a regular external USB drive
and I've attached the USB drive to my router, which makes the contents
of the USB drive available via an SMB share.
I've enabled LMS in PCP and I've tried putting the details into the
Setup Network Disk Mount section but I can't get it to work, LMS can't
see the files so I must be putting something in wrong...
These are the details I've entered:

- Mount Point: /mnt/usb (I've assumed I can enter whatever I like into
this field and PCP will create a new mount point with this name)
- Server IP address: the internal LAN IP address of my router
  (192.168.1.1)
- Server share: vodafone (the router is a Vodafone Connect VDSL router
(a re-branded Huawei box I believe) which makes the contents of the
USB drive available to the network via SMB. When I access it (using a
laptop running Linux Mint) the address in the File Browser address bar
is "smb://vodafone/a/". I've tried putting just the 'a' in as well but
  this didn't work either.)
- Share Type: CIFS (I've also tried this with the NFS option and
entered "vodafone/a" into the server name field but no joy there
  either)
- username: blank (I'm not prompted to enter a username when I access
the files on the laptop so I'm guessing the router allows anonymous
  access)
- password: blank (as above)
- options: blank

The router also has a DNLA / Twonky server feature, so I enabled that
and turned on the remote libraries function in LMS. LMS did then find
the Vodafone Connect DNLA share but only one of the folders under
vodafone/a/ was listed (the one called 'Public'), and I can't find any
way of getting at the Twonky server settings to change which folders it
shares. I could try contacting Vodafone to find out how to access the
Twonky back end to make it publish all of the folders on the USB drive
but since this is a bit of a work-around anyway, I'd rather get the SMB
share working so that my tunes are listed in 'My Music' instead of
Remote Libraries...

So can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here please?? I expect it's
something really simple that I'm just not seeing...

Many thanks,
Jim
