Not sure whether it is related, but I've been finding a morally similar behaviour when I play any BBC iPlayer streams. Once you start playing one of those, it works for a while, but something breaks and the PCP box gets stuck in some kind of loop. The first visible symptom is that the web interface will stop to load (ssh also times out etc). The interesting thing is that this seems to happen only when I play out through the HiFiberry DAC+ Pro. Using analog or HDMI as the sound output is fine. Maybe this affects other DACs in a similar way?
