You could consider to use Max2Play instead of piCorePlayer. In my experience its less stable but if you dont leave the device running for months at a time it probably doesnt matter. Max2Play now has a WiFi mode in which it automatically sets up a hotspot to connect when it cant find a WiFi network. Youll probably find more details in the Max2Play thread.
