Ah, the "on different machines" part makes sense. For a single machine it wouldn't imho. Yes, I had to manually configure things and set up the startup script on my server. But updates now only take me a few seconds to "git pull" and restart :-).

But assuming we had binaries for your platform, would the regular .deb package work? What platform/architecture does Settings/Information report?
