Dear Bob, Thank you for showing interest in my problem.
I use a Pi3 with PicorePlayer acting as LMS server and Squeezelite player. I read the files from a NAS. I could finally make it works properly with a 2Qute DAC that I have on loan, with the settings found in the list of DAC "hw:CARD=D2Qute,DEV=0". I cannot make it works properly with my DAC Yamaha, despite I have tried all kind of settings. When it works, it is locked on 48 kHz. This same DAC is recognized and working very well with Volumio or RuneAudio from the same Pi3. I hope this help to clarify..
