Thanks for reporting this and I can reproduce it. I don't know what the problem is right now. It seems like you need to make adjustments larger than one step - then it works. I also tried using amixer directly and here I see the same - that only steps of two or larger are possible from 66. Strangely, when I tested other values both above and below 66 I sometimes could make steps of 1 - so for now I really can't see a pattern. But I will take a closer look and see if I can find a solution.
