Sounds like a solid plan. As a matter of fact I had a pair of Audio
Engine A5's and used to haul them outside. I wasn't all that thrilled
with their indoor performance and liked the Radio outside just as well.
Probably because around my pool isn't a great place to use stereo. I
just need decent tone and volume.

I did build a RPI/Touch/HiFiBerry compo and am not happy with that
either. I like everything but the tone with whatever speakers I've
paired it with. I know I sound terribly picky at this point. My goal is
a small self contained unit. The Radio is perfect. Even better with the
battery pack. Recently I tired a large BT speaker (Not using BT) a pi
and a Anker battery. Worked good, but the fidelity lacked and the
volume was insufficient. It's not a huge area, but there is a stone
wall, lots of trees and it's on a slope. It sucks up sound.

For now I will probably take the Boom out there. I have power available
in a couple of good spots. I just hate to take it outside constantly.

Do the A5+ sound like the old A5 models? Know of a good single cabinet
powered speaker solution that has the balanced sound of the Boom. That's
what I'd really like.

Thanks,

Howard
