Wifi works fine without country code setting in both 2.4G and 5G connections (I'm using a 3B+ on wifi right now). The country code requirement in raspbian is a software requirement only. There is no hardware requirement for that. So go back to the normal wifi doesn't work type issues. http://picoreplayer.sourceforge.net/faq_wifi_does_not_work.shtml What do you get when you push the diagnostics button on the wifi page? Can you even scan? piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
