Heres a squeezelite I compiled on a Debian Stretch x86_64 machine you can try

But this seems to crash as well !

Sorry have to revise. I had to do a reboot of the system and now it does
not crash. It does not Play the song but only jumps to the next one in
the Playlist.
So it seems there's a difference. This already helps a lot.
@Jeff: Does it crash in your system after reboot? Do you have the same
effect that the track is just left out?
@Jeff: The Version you compiled is very small in comparison to the
binaries from Ralphy. I guess there are some Plugins left out, right?
If so would it be possible that you compile one similar to the others
binaries?
