I can confirm that the gen1 flirc works fine with jivelite for those operations. The flirc emulates a keyboard and the jivelite keyboard interface expects unique key mappings for fwd and next track as well as rev and previous track. They do not work using the long press feature that LIRC supports. All the supported (Key Press) and associated (Jivelite Action) are 'listed here' (https://github.com/ralph-irving/tcz-lirc/blob/master/jivekeys.csv). Ignore the LIRC Key Symbol column that doesn't apply when using a flirc. You'll likely need to update your flirc key mappings to use separate keys for each of those functions.
