did you check the server.log?
Is the id always the same?

How many sessions did you get with ps -faux|grep squeeze+ you should see
more than one if the only one is something like
/usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver*_safe* you should really take a look @ the
server.log -> should be in /var/log
Did you reboot the whole System after the update?
