That's neat. I'll follow that sometime.

I do think that sometimes the install itself on the joggler is a bit
flaky (or it might depend on the order in which one does things, I don't
know).

For instance, over the week -end I tried putting a light Desktop on the
base image.

I tried the > –no-install-recommends lubuntu-desktop
>
that completed but on reboot there was no Desktop.

Yesterday I tried again, and got the Desktop but could not get it to
autostart without logging in (lots of how-to's but none seemed to work).

I looked at scripts but had no joy.

I finally used the base image install and

sudo crontab -e

with

Code:
--------------------
    @reboot /home/joggler/jivelite/bin/jivelite
--------------------

I found that sometimes the rc.local route did not work.

That starts, but with the mouse arrow and is not persistent if I use
just the touch screen.

I'll try another minimal desktop, maybe today or tomorrow.

As long as it is below 2gb then I should be able to fit it on the
internal memory of a Cisco Openpeak that I have got.

I'll need some instruction from the O2 forum for that, as I'm not
certain if following the reflash route needs a little jiggery-pokery.

No one seems interested on the O2 forum, its very disappointing, I have
had lots of views and no replies.

roobarb! has almost finished a new Ubuntu image, both he and *buzz*
don't seem to have the time anymore for a lot of support.
