I am struggling to get Jivelite to work on a Pi 3B+ with a standard touchscreen under 5.0.1. I am running what I think is a fully updated system (10.1pCP, PCP 5.0.1, and Squeezelite 1.9.2-1166-pCP). As far as I remember, this all worked fine on the same device in 4.1.1.
The wrinkle in my system is that I am connecting the touchscreen device to a remote LMS through a VPN connection (using openvpn), and I think there may be an issue between the IP address assigned to the device by the remote VPN server (192.168.26.XX) and the IP address that is assigned to the device by the router at the remote location (192.168.50.XX). The system works normally without Jivelite installed, with play controlled either by the LMS web page or by the Squeeze Ctrl app. After installing Jivelite (using the "Tweaks" tab), however, the touchscreen goes to the language selection screen and the skins selection screen as usual, but at that point it seems to have trouble "locating players". (BTW, I have several Squeezebox/PCP players in the location where the LMS is running, and one other PCP player without a touchscreen at the remote location. All of those devices are running fine, although I haven't updated the PCP players at the LMS site beyond 4.1.1.) For what it's worth I am using different subnets for the remote LAN (192.168.50.X) and for the LAN where the LMS is located (192.168.25.X), but none of the different addresses seems to cause any problems until I add Jivelite to my touchscreen device. One other bit of information that may be helpful is that when I hover over the different PCP player tabs on the PCP web page, the players that are local to the LMS show the router-assigned IP addresses (192.168.25.XX), whereas the devices remote to the LMS show the VPN server-assigned IP addresses (192.168.26.XX). Clicking on the tab for a remote device fails, since the browser can only access the device at the router address (192.168.50.XX) not at the VPN address (192.168.26.XX). Any suggestions for what may be going wrong with Jivelite? Does it need functional IP addresses to find the players? If so, is there a way to configure those manually? By the way, thanks much for developing such a great system! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DAR's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7274 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110642 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
