That's great!

For a DSD capable DAC, you should always use the hw: prefix in the
output settings -o device field.

If you still experience the occasional dropout or "skip" in the audio;

set ALSA buffer time to 16384 and ALSA period 4096 

but *only if the DAC is connected via USB*.
