You could boot your RPi4 from recent Raspbian and do a sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade and reboot (if it does not) and I think you will then get the new firmware for the RPi4 Then you can boot again from pCP and you might find that it runs 5 degrees cooler when idle.
