In my particular case, the DAC, although not officially supported, works fine with PicorePlayer and I haven't experienced any glitches. But to be honest, I haven't had the opportunity to test all capabilities like Hi-res files, different sampling frequencies etc, I have used Qobuz (CD quality streaming) and web radios (MP3 320 kbps at best), so not really pushing a DAC to its limits...
I haven't done an exensive market review, but I think there is a little risk to take with cheaper DACs not fully supported.
