I have just finished playing a little more.
i stalled Ubutu Server on tha same shuttle machine. Did the update thing ( along time) Installed LMS added fip as a favourite Installed Ralphy's Squeezelite Used Gerrelt's scripts (changing the name in two places) Filled in the squeezelite_settings.sh for autostart and autoplay. Rebooted. The Server came back up and was playing quietly fro the usb dac id plugged in at the beginning. I had a DOH!:rolleyes: monment and changed the output volume to 100% Rebooted and fip is playing away :) ronnie. So it does work but there must be a permissions thing a bpa hinted at. I always install LMS and Squeezelite as a user.
