This was my second attempt at getting this bluetooth up and running. I updated the installation (bluez was the only one that updated, everything else was OK).
I had one bump on the road, maybe if you're savvy, then you know, but I didn't. The bump was that you must turn WiFi on to use Bluetooth. Turning Bluetooth on but keeping Wifi off will not work, at least not on my Pi. I kept getting the message "No default controller available" ... and I couldn't turn on the BT Controller. P.S. I'm using the "Player" side such that I stream sound from my laptop or phone to the piCorePlayer and the sound comes through my stereo. Yesterday I was impressed how apparently the source could automatically switch from one to another (between LMS, phone and computer). Today when I was playing music (through LMS on my NAS), the playlist ended and I noticed my laptop was already connected, but when playing a YouTube video, no sound. All volume controls were up, on the piCorePlayer (obviously), on my amplifier (obviously), on the PC, in the LMS (although irrelevant) and in the YouTube window. I could see that the laptop was connected and piCorePlayer was the "Player" as it should be. I have no idea where the volume went. /Claus ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cfuttrup's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32784 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111972 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
