Your experience is similar to mine. I will have a device connect but no sound will come through as a Player or Streamer. Saving, updating, rebooting, disconnecting and reconnecting doesn't seem to help. I haven't (yet) found a reproducible pattern to consistently make the bluetooth sound work.
