I had exactly the same issue with 6.0.0 a few weeks ago - on power up the device managed to acquire an IP address from my router, but it was unreachable via both the web interface and SSH. A reboot cured whatever the problem was - I didn't have access to anything to plug into the HDMI port at the time.
