I put the CACHE on the drive with music files. But many people report keeping it on the SD card with no problems with years of use....
That's me. Three or four years, I don't know. IMHO SD cards are by far good enough for the average user not to have to go through the additional hoops of configuring the cache folder. It's trading _potential_ longer life with a lot of time of your life wasted in configuration work :-).
